National Grief Awareness week is 2nd - 8th December
National Grief Awareness Week: is a time for people to openly discuss their experiences with grief and loss. It encourages empathy, compassion, and support for those who are grieving. Grief can affect children and young people in different ways.
It can often take children much longer to deal with their grief, sometimes it can be intense for them and effect their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
Raising awareness can help children and young people access support to help them cope with the feelings of loss.
