Employment Support
For people who are accessing Talking Therapies, we can also provide specialist Employment Support and advice. We provide free, confidential support, advice and guidance for a wide range of employment issues.
Our Employment Advisers will be happy to support with:
- Accessing education and training.
- Confidence building and developing skills to help you progress closer to employment, such as accessing local activities and voluntary work.
- Careers advice and guidance.
- Support with job searching.
- Help with job applications.
- Compiling targeted CV’s and cover letters.
- Interview skills.
- Signposting to specialist agencies.
- Liaising with your employer to help you retain your job.
- Advising on employment rights and workplace adjustments.
Our Employment Advisers can work with you whether you are employed, unemployed, claiming benefits or not, in work or off sick from work. Their goal is to help improve your mental health and well-being in relation to your employment related goals.
How can I be referred for employment support?
You can ask your therapist to refer you for Employment Support at any point of your treatment journey, including while you are on a waiting list for your therapy.
Once our Employment Advisers have received your referral, they will contact you to arrange an initial appointment to discuss your situation. Appointments can be by telephone, video or face to face.
