  • South Tyneside 0-19 Team (School Nurses & Health Visitors)
    • The 0-19 team in South Tyneside monitor, assess, promote and support the health and wellbeing of all children and young people between 0-19 years. They work in partnership with parents/carers and other agencies to ensure every child has the Best Start in Life.

      All school age children have access to the School Nursing service and young people aged between 11-19 years old also have access to a confidential text messaging service called CHATHealth which is staffed by the School Nursing Team.

  • South Tyneside Young Carers
    • S​​​​​​​outh Tyneside Young Carers Project has been delivering support to young carers and their families for over 15 years, with the aim of improving their quality of life and reducing the risk of isolation. They support young carers through a range of services including one to one support, family support and emotional support. They also provide recreational and respite activities including residential short breaks, and activities during school holidays.
