We will discuss the most suitable options with you and arrange a care plan together.

This could include:

  • Low Intensity CBT / Counselling sessions for children and young people
  • Therapeutic group work with Families / Parents 
  • Therapeutic group work Children
  • Therapeutic family sessions

In some cases we might find that other services would be better placed to meet the needs for you and your family. We would then signpost or refer you on to a service that can help you better. 

What Treatment Might Look Like

  • You will be offered between 6-10 sessions depending on how many is needed. This may be a group or one to one treatment.
  • Sessions with your mental health worker are usually weekly and last between 30-45 minutes.
  • Your mental health worker will help you learn new skills to change any unhelpful thinking and behaviour.
  • It will be important for you to practice these skills at home. Your mental health worker will give you some activities to complete between sessions to help you do this. 
  • You will receive treatment that is based on research and evidence - interventions we know work!
